Next week we have a regular schedule. No benchmark tests. In Language Arts we will be doing some integrated social studies and writing assignments centering around the beginning of the Texas Revolution. So far, we've only read about the first battle in Texas History, that took place October 2, 1835 in Gonzalez, Texas. (Come and Take it!) We will soon begin to do our research for the annual fourth grade Wax Museum. Most of the work for this is done at school. I'll give you more information as we get closer to starting our research.
In social studies, as we continue to learn about more battles, we will add to our timeline in our interactive notebook and do some annotated note taking with the reading that we do in class. Students will be graded on keeping up with the note taking.
Next Friday homerooms will acknowledge Valentine's Day. Check with your homeroom teacher if you are unsure of how that will take place. I sent an email to my class with that information, as well as a class list to help with Valentine cards.
Have an awesome weekend!
