This week is so jumbled up. The late start today didn't help. In Language Arts we are currently working through our rough drafts on "following directions." With any luck, we will be ready to begin revising on Friday. That would be phenomenal. The students also completed one of the reading stations today. We stepped away from European Explorers to begin a focus on Civil Rights and the leaders that made and continue to make this world a better, safer place. Though we will be moving on with our study of Texas missions next week, the students will be working on an independent study during any extra time they have on a selected area of interest regarding Civil Rights.
Thursday is our reading benchmark. I will be using that time to gather items for spring conferences. If we don't end up having an actual conference day (President's Day), I will at least have plenty of information to share with you regarding current reading levels and progress in writing.
That's really all I have for now. Stay warm today, and pull out your flip flops again on Saturday. Crazy weather!!
